Walking Forward by Thinking Backward

In Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, Alice asks the Cheshire Cat, "Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to walk from here?
The Cheshire Cat responds, “That depends a good deal on where you want to get to.”
“I don't much care where,” said Alice.
“Then it doesn't matter which way you go,” said the Cat.
“So long as I get somewhere,” Alice added as an explanation.
“Oh, you're sure to do that," said the Cat, “if you only walk long enough.”
When you're trying to move forward, the journey is much easier if you become very clear about where you want to go. Here's one way to discover where you want to go:
Write down three things you want written on your tombstone and then start living the way you want to be remembered.
